Biblical Care

What is Biblical Care?

Biblical Care is the process of inviting someone into the messiness of your life. Whatever your struggle, you are not alone! The God of the universe, the God who created you, is willing to walk through your struggles with you, and His people are willing to act as His hands and feet during this time of need.

What can I expect?

Biblical Care involves beginning a new relationship. It may take a few sessions for us to get to know you and your story before you feel like you are beginning to make progress. Care is interactive and dynamic, and the progress you make will depend in large measure upon your investment in the process. You should feel free to ask questions to help you connect as we progress through the experience together.

The process of change begins first by clearly defining the problem, then discussing your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs, understanding the origin of the difficulty, and developing new skills and healthy attitudes about yourself and others. The process of change will, in many ways, be unique to your particular situation. In some instances, talking about your difficulties may seem to exacerbate the issues, however, we believe over time you will see an improvement in the way you feel, think, relate, and function.

How long is this process?

The duration of your time in Biblical Care can vary greatly depending on the issue at hand. Factors include goals set at the start of your time and your continued commitment to stay focused on these goals.

At some point during the process, we will recommend that you invite a trusted person to continue intentionally walking with you even after your formal time with NCCF is completed. We trust that God will continue the process of change long after your time with NCCF. We believe that intentional relationship with others is key to continuing the work that you begin. This step in the NCCF process helps to start that with just one relationship.

What is my financial obligation?

Your time with NCCF has already been paid for by individuals and churches who are committed to the vision of seeing God change lives through care of His people. If you would like to pay it forward and cover the expense of someone else receiving care from NCCF, your donation would be greatly appreciated.
